"But Naaman went away angry and said, 'I thought that he would surely come out to me...'"

2 Kings 5:11

There is something deeply uncomfortable about Naaman's reaction in 2 Kings 5:11. He had travelled all this way — a great man, a decorated commander — and the prophet didn't even come to the door.

The healing was available. Right there. But his pride nearly cost him everything. It was only when his servants pressed him gently that he reconsidered (2 Kings 5:13).
